कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम्।कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं प्रपश्यद्भिर्जनार्दन ॥1.39॥kathaṃ na jñeyamasmābhiḥ pāpādasmānnivartitumkulakṣayakṛtaṃ doṣaṃ prapaśyadbhirjanārdana

“...why should we, who clearly see the harm in destroying a family, not know to turn away from this sin, Janardana?”

“...तो हे जनार्दन, हम, जो कुल-नाश के दोष को साफ़ देख रहे हैं, इस पाप से बचने की बात क्यों न समझें?”
