Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 14, Verse 15

Krishna said

रजसि प्रलयं गत्वा कर्मसङ्गिषु जायते।तथा प्रलीनस्तमसि मूढयोनिषु जायते ॥14.15॥

rajasi pralayaṃ gatvā karmasaṅgiṣu jāyatetathā pralīnastamasi mūḍhayoniṣu jāyate

Meaning

One who dies while rajas dominates is born among people attached to action. One who dies in tamas is born in the wombs of the deluded.

जो रजस के समय मरता है, वह कर्मों में आसक्त लोगों के बीच जन्म लेता है। और जो तमस में मरता है, वह मूढ़ योनियों में जन्म लेता है।
