यः शास्त्रविधिमुत्सृज्य वर्तते कामकारतः।न स सिद्धिमवाप्नोति न सुखं न परां गतिम् ॥16.23॥yaḥ śāstravidhimutsṛjya vartate kāmakārataḥna sa siddhimavāpnoti na sukhaṃ na parāṃ gatim
Meaning
Whoever sets aside the guidance of scripture and acts on mere whim gains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the highest goal.

जो व्यक्ति शास्त्रों के बताए मार्ग को छोड़कर अपनी मनमर्ज़ी से चलता है, उसे न सिद्धि मिलती है, न सुख, और न ही परम लक्ष्य।
