यातयामं गतरसं पूति पर्युषितं च यत्।उच्छिष्टमपि चामेध्यं भोजनं तामसप्रियम् ॥17.10॥yātayāmaṃ gatarasaṃ pūti paryuṣitaṃ ca yatucchiṣṭamapi cāmedhyaṃ bhojanaṃ tāmasapriyam
Meaning
Food that is stale, tasteless, rotten, left overnight, leftover from others' plates or impure is dear to tamasic people.

जो भोजन बासी, बेस्वाद, सड़ा हुआ, रात भर पड़ा हुआ, किसी की जूठन या अशुद्ध हो, वह तामसी लोगों को प्रिय होता है।
