Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 5

Krishna said

यज्ञदानतपःकर्म न त्याज्यं कार्यमेव तत्।यज्ञो दानं तपश्चैव पावनानि मनीषिणाम् ॥18.5॥

yajñadānatapaḥkarma na tyājyaṃ kāryameva tatyajño dānaṃ tapaścaiva pāvanāni manīṣiṇām

Meaning

Acts of sacred offering, giving and self-discipline should not be given up; they must be done, for they purify even the wise.

यज्ञ, दान और तप के कर्म छोड़ने नहीं चाहिए, इन्हें करना ही चाहिए, क्योंकि ये समझदार लोगों के मन को भी शुद्ध करते हैं।
