Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4, Verse 26

Krishna said

श्रोत्रादीनीन्द्रियाण्यन्ये संयमाग्निषु जुह्वति।शब्दादीन्विषयानन्य इन्द्रियाग्निषु जुह्वति ॥4.26॥

śrotrādīnīndriyāṇyanye saṃyamāgniṣu juhvatiśabdādīnviṣayānanya indriyāgniṣu juhvati

Meaning

Some offer the senses, such as hearing, into the fires of restraint. Others offer sense objects, such as sound, into the fires of the senses.

कुछ लोग सुनने जैसी इंद्रियों को संयम रूपी अग्नि में अर्पित करते हैं। दूसरे लोग शब्द जैसे विषयों को इंद्रियों रूपी अग्नि में अर्पित करते हैं।
