Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 43

Krishna said

शौर्यं तेजो धृतिर्दाक्ष्यं युद्धे चाप्यपलायनम्।दानमीश्वरभावश्च क्षात्रं कर्म स्वभावजम् ॥18.43॥

śauryaṃ tejo dhṛtirdākṣyaṃ yuddhe cāpyapalāyanamdānamīśvarabhāvaśca kṣātraṃ karma svabhāvajam

Meaning

Bravery, vigour, steadiness, skill, not running away even in battle, generosity and the ability to lead are the duties born of a Kshatriya's nature.

शौर्य, तेज, धैर्य, कुशलता, युद्ध में भी पीठ न दिखाना, दान देना और नेतृत्व की क्षमता, ये क्षत्रिय के स्वभाव से उत्पन्न कर्म हैं।
