Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 7

Krishna said

नियतस्य तु संन्यासः कर्मणो नोपपद्यते।मोहात्तस्य परित्यागस्तामसः परिकीर्तितः ॥18.7॥

niyatasya tu saṃnyāsaḥ karmaṇo nopapadyatemohāttasya parityāgastāmasaḥ parikīrtitaḥ

Meaning

Giving up one's necessary duty is not right. Abandoning it out of confusion is called tamasic (dull, ignorant) renunciation.

अपना ज़रूरी कर्तव्य छोड़ना उचित नहीं है। भ्रम के कारण उसे छोड़ देना तामसिक (अज्ञान से भरा) त्याग कहलाता है।
