Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 18, Verse 8

Krishna said

दुःखमित्येव यत्कर्म कायक्लेशभयात्त्यजेत्।स कृत्वा राजसं त्यागं नैव त्यागफलं लभेत् ॥18.8॥

duḥkhamityeva yatkarma kāyakleśabhayāttyajetsa kṛtvā rājasaṃ tyāgaṃ naiva tyāgaphalaṃ labhet

Meaning

One who gives up a duty only because it is painful or from fear of physical strain makes a rajasic (restless, self-centred) renunciation and gains nothing from it.

जो व्यक्ति किसी कर्तव्य को सिर्फ़ इसलिए छोड़ दे कि वह कष्टदायक है या शरीर को तकलीफ़ होगी, उसका त्याग राजसिक है और उसे त्याग का कोई फल नहीं मिलता।
