कार्यमित्येव यत्कर्म नियतं क्रियतेऽर्जुन।सङ्गं त्यक्त्वा फलं चैव स त्यागः सात्त्विको मतः ॥18.9॥kāryamityeva yatkarma niyataṃ kriyate'rjunasaṅgaṃ tyaktvā phalaṃ caiva sa tyāgaḥ sāttviko mataḥ
Meaning
When a necessary duty is done simply because it ought to be done, giving up attachment and the wish for reward, that letting go is sattvic (pure and clear).

जब कोई ज़रूरी काम सिर्फ़ इसलिए किया जाए कि उसे करना चाहिए, और उसमें आसक्ति व फल की चाह छोड़ दी जाए, तो वह त्याग सात्त्विक (शुद्ध) कहलाता है।
