Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 13

Krishna said

यज्ञशिष्टाशिनः सन्तो मुच्यन्ते सर्वकिल्बिषैः।भुञ्जते ते त्वघं पापा ये पचन्त्यात्मकारणात् ॥3.13॥

yajñaśiṣṭāśinaḥ santo mucyante sarvakilbiṣaiḥbhuñjate te tvaghaṃ pāpā ye pacantyātmakāraṇāt

Meaning

Good people who eat what remains after offering are freed from all faults. But those who cook only for themselves are in truth eating wrongdoing.

हिंदी में अर्थ

जो सज्जन यज्ञ के बाद बचा हुआ भोजन करते हैं, वे सब दोषों से छूट जाते हैं। पर जो केवल अपने लिए ही पकाते हैं, वे असल में पाप ही खाते हैं।
