indriyasyendriyasyārthe rāgadveṣau vyavasthitautayorna vaśamāgacchettau hyasya paripanthinau

Meaning

Attraction and aversion are naturally present in every sense towards its objects. Do not fall under their control, for they are obstacles on your path.

Practise it today

Each time you feel a strong "I want this" or "I hate this" today, wait ten seconds before you act on it.

Reflect tonight

How many times did you pause today before reacting to a like or dislike? What changed in those ten seconds?
