indriyāṇi mano buddhirasyādhiṣṭhānamucyateetairvimohayatyeṣa jñānamāvṛtya dehinam

Meaning

The senses, the mind and the intellect are said to be where desire lives. Through them it covers understanding and confuses the embodied soul.

Practise it today

Watch one craving today from start to finish: what you saw or heard, what the mind imagined, how the intellect justified it. Just observe.

Reflect tonight

Where did today's craving start: the senses, the mind, or your reasoning? What did you learn by watching it?
