Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 6, Verse 19

Krishna said

yathā dīpo nivātastho neṅgate sopamā smṛtāyogino yatacittasya yuñjato yogamātmanaḥ

Meaning

Like a lamp in a windless place that does not flicker: that is the image used for the disciplined mind of a yogi practising focus on the Self.

Practise it today

Light a lamp or candle, or picture one, and watch the steady flame for two minutes. Return to this image whenever your mind feels shaky today.

Reflect tonight

When did your mind flicker most today? Did the image of the steady flame help you settle?
